About this translation

This English text is a convenience translation. If anything is unclear, the German version applies.

Provider and scope

These terms apply to the use of the CELL app by Carl Schade, Trautmansdorfstraße 111, 48153 Münster.

Test phase

CELL is currently in a test phase and can only be used with a personal invite. Features may still change. In exceptional cases it may be necessary to reset test data before the official launch; we will tell you beforehand.

Your account

You sign up with your real name. There is exactly one profile per person. Fake profiles and second accounts are not allowed.

You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your password secret and do not share it.

To use all features you verify yourself once with your phone number, ID and a selfie via our partner Didit. Without verification you can only look around.

Friendships

Friendships are mutual only. You can block or report people at any time.

Cells

Content in public Cells is visible to everyone on CELL. Whoever starts a Cell looks after its content together with admins and moderators and can remove posts.

Business and official Cells are reviewed before approval. Only reviewed business Cells may place ads in Cells.

Your content

Your photos, videos, posts, comments and messages belong to you. So that we may store them and show them to the intended people, you grant us a simple, non-transferable right of use, solely for operating the app.

Only upload content you have the rights to. If other people are visible, you need their consent.

What is not allowed

Unlawful content, insults, incitement, threats and harassment.

Pornographic content, depictions of violence and content that endangers minors.

Spam, fraud, advertising outside the ads in Cells and attempts to bypass the security of the app.

Reporting and moderation

You can report content and people. We review reports and may remove content or restrict or delete accounts if these terms are violated. We will tell you why, and you can respond via support.

Costs

Using CELL is free. There may later be a subscription for extra features in Cells (Cell Plus). We will tell you before anything costs money, and it only applies if you buy it yourself.

Availability

CELL is still evolving and may contain errors. We strive for stable operation but cannot promise uninterrupted availability.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body and health, and under the Product Liability Act.

In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Users are themselves responsible for the content they post.

Ending

You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We may suspend or delete an account in case of serious or repeated violations.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will tell you in the app beforehand. As of: November 2026.

Law and disputes

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.

We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
